Messianic/Hebrew Roots believers find Torah study particularly fascinating for the reason of finding the Messiah in every Torah Portion. Christians understand that prophecies about Yeshua/Jesus abound in the Old Testament, but the depth and frequency of His appearance in the Torah is largely not understood or is ignored. Once the fascination of seeing Yeshua in every Torah Portion is awakened, it never goes away.

Further, study of the Torah leads to understanding end times prophecy, including the Book of Revelation. It is only by studying the Torah that one can begin to unlock what seems to be unintelligible symbolism. The truth is that Revelation is less symbolic than most people think.

The Torah Portions have been preserved by the Hebrew and Jewish people for thousands of years. They deserve our gratitude for accomplishing this.

The English word "Portion" is "Parashah" in Hebrew. Each Portion has a name, a scripture from within the Torah, a scripture from the Prophets or Writings called the Haftarah, and a scripture(s) from the New Testament, also called the B'rit Hadashah. These establish and enforce each other creating a continuity of understanding.

The Torah Portion cycle starts in the first week after Sukkot, the Feast of Tabernacles, in the Fall.
